In the ever expanding world of contact lenses, it is important to have contact lenses properly fit and prescribed by an optometrist.

Contact lenses can correct for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and for astigmatism. There are several lens options available, ranging from monthly replacement to daily replacement, and ranging from single vision, to bifocal or monovision. We discuss and select what will work best for each patient's unique visual requirements.

We also perform specialty contact lens fittings for irregular corneas, and for conditions such as keratoconus.

A contact lens fitting begins with teaching a patient how to properly insert and remove a contact lens. We also go over the basics of healthy contact lens wear, seen here. Upon successful completion, they are given trial contact lenses to practice with at home, and typically return to the office one week later for a follow-up appointment to assess contact lens fit and vision. We then make small modifications, until we achieve the best vision possible for each patient's lifestyle and visual demands.
